Mike “Butch” Beck was a wonderful friend, a great
brother on two wheels, and a faithful, and humble
servant of God. He will be sorely missed, and leaves an
empty place that no other human being can ever fill.
Michael, we know you are in a great and glorious place,
and that you sit with our Father in Heaven, and we love
you dearly, my friend forever.

Corinthians 5:6-8 tells us that when we Christians
die, we go immediately to be with God. To be
"absent from the body-present with the Lord."
-
Philippians l:23 Paul tells us when we depart from
this life, we are with Christ.
- We need not
sorrow then as others who have no hope because the
authoritative Word of God promises the believer an
immediate reception in glory--"absent from the body
present with the Lord. II Corinthians 5:8"

A
Dream within a Dream
Take this kiss upon thy brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow—
You are not wrong, to deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand—
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep—while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?
